Ann Mews

William Street Quarter is located on the former Lintons Estate site, in Barking Town Centre

Anne Mews is the residential phase of the William Street Quarter masterplan to regenerate the Lintons Estate in Barking, providing 31 new council houses for London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

AJ Wells were commissioned by Mansell Construction Ltd to produce 17 vitreous enamelled doors and soffit panels for the entrance lobbies to the houses. The doors were designed to conceal the bin stores at the front of each house.

It was a requirement that the doors should meet fire regulations and have a 60 minute rating.

AJ Wells surveyed the site and designed and manufactured the doors which use vitreous enamelled tray panels screen printed in an array of vibrant colours. These were bonded to fire door blanks and routed to accept hinges and door furniture.
