TFL Restaurant

Vitreous Enamel bar. TfL at Design Junction 2014

Celebrating the year of the bus, Transport for London (TfL), are to present an exclusively designed restaurant on the second floor of Designjunction in partnership with the East London Liquor Company.

The restaurant, designed by Designjunction Creative Director, Michael Sodeau, features a huge version of the General Map of Outer London, archive photography of buses and bus workers from TfL archives and a wall made from reclaimed vintage enamel bus stops.

Working closely with Micael Sodeau’s Studio we created a 7m custom built bar featuring large gloss vitreous enamelled tiles. We also created a number of condiment holders pairing vintage Bus Stop flags with smart black vitreous enamel bases.

The space is furnished by leading British furniture brand, Modus, with pieces upholstered in the latest TfL moquette fabrics from Kirkby Design and is atmospherically lit using products from leading lighting brands Anglepoise and NUD.

Designjunction runs from 18-21 September 2014 at The Sorting Office, 21-31 New Oxford Street, London WC1A 1BA
